Civil law is a branch of private law that regulates the legal status of a person from birth to death and even after death. It includes the law of persons, family law, inheritance law, law of property and law of obligations. The courses related to these areas are as follows: Civil Law is the branch of law that consists of the rules that regulate the personal status of citizens, their family relations, their rights and powers over property, their debt relations with other persons, and the fate of the rights and debts in their assets after their death. The course examines Introduction to Civil Law, Law of Persons and Family Law. Law of Obligations, Law of Inheritance and Law of Property are examined in detail in other courses.

In the Law of Obligations General Provisions course, the debts arising from legal transactions between individuals or from the law are examined. In the course of General Provisions of the Law of Obligations, which concerns many areas of private law such as Private Law of Obligations, Commercial Law, Health Law, firstly, general concepts are emphasized. Then, the debts arising from the legal transactions within the debts resulting from the law, especially the debts from the contract and the regulations regarding the debts arising from the act of injustice and the debts arising from unjust enrichment are mentioned. Finally, the special situations encountered by the parties in the contractual relationship are emphasized.

Within the framework of Law of Obligations Special Provisions - taking account of the Law on Consumer Protection -, it is aimed to inform the students about the various types of contracts and to convey to the students the practical solution methods suitable for use in relation to legal disputes arising from such contracts.

Property law is a branch of civil law that regulates the scope, content and establishment of the dominance of persons over property and their relations with each other due to this dominance.

Inheritance law focuses on the legal consequences arising from the death of a person. In short, the legal consequences that the legal order binds to the death of a person are examined.
