The proposal of the Rectorate of Erciyes University on the restructuring of the Divisions and Departments of the Faculty of Law was discussed at the Higher Education Executive Board meeting on 08.12.2010, and divisions and departments were established in accordance with the Article 7/d-2 of the Law No. 2547 amended by the Law No. 2880. In addition, in accordance with the Article 13 of the Academic Organization Regulation in Universities, the structuring of the departments under the Public Law and Private Law Departments that could be established in the Faculty of Law was discussed at the Higher Education General Assembly meeting dated 23/12/2013, and pursuant to the Article 7/d-2 of the Higher Education Law No. 2547 amended by the Law No. 2880, the divisions at the Department of Private Law were determined as follows: Department of Civil Law, Department of Commercial Law, Department of Civil Procedure and Enforcement and Bankruptcy Law, Department of Labor and Social Security Law, Department of Maritime Law, Department of Roman Law, Department of Islamic Law and Department of Private International Law.
