The Department of Criminal and Criminal Procedure Law is a discipline of the Public Law. It deals with unlawful acts that lead to a crime, and it discusses the judgement process and sanctions regarding these acts.

Criminal law general provisions, criminal law special provisions and criminal procedure law courses are given at this department. In these courses, the theory of crime and sanctions, international criminal law, the types of crimes in the Turkish Criminal Code and other codes, and the rules of criminal law proceedings are discussed.
