International law, which is a branch of public law, is also known as international public law and essentially discusses the relations between sovereign states. Today, it has a wider scope and also deals with international organizations and - limitedly - individuals.
In the courses given in the Department of International Law, international law issues such as the law of treaties, the law of armed conflicts, law of human rights, humanitarian law, international criminal law, international maritime law, diplomacy law, environmental law, international organizations law and international responsibility are discussed.
